Kimberly Nichelini D.M.D. or “Dr. Kim,” was born in San Francisco and raised in the East Bay. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with high honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she began working as a dental assistant and was inspired to choose dentistry as her career. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree cum laude from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and was awarded the Silver Medal for scholastic excellence along with several academic and performance scholarships.
Next Dr. Nichelini completed a one-year General Practice Residency at The Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she learned to manage patients with special behavioral and medical needs and realized her true passion was working with children. She then pursued an additional two-year pediatric dentistry specialty training program at the New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center in Manhattan before moving back to sunny California and settling in the north bay.
Dr. Nichelini is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is an active board member of the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, as well as a member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Academy of Pediatrics.
In her spare time she enjoys participating in dental mission trips and has traveled with several organizations to Guatemala, Haiti, Cambodia, Cabo Verde, Peru and Belize for these trips. Dr. Nichelini also enjoys marathon running, biking, hiking, exploring the beautiful north bay with her orthodontist husband Dr. Jeff Nichelini and playing with her two nieces Ada and Maris. She is very excited to live and work in beautiful wine country.
