When you visit our dentist for a dental bridge procedure, we will begin by examining and taking X-rays to determine whether your remaining teeth are strong enough to support the bridge. After that, our team may recommend a few more tests to know whether any decay or infection needs treatment. Afterward, we will prepare your abutment teeth for crowns by removing some enamel. We then take measurements, make an impression and use a shade card to decide what color your new teeth should be - this information will be sent to a dental lab so they can craft the new crowns and bridge. Finally, as you wait for them to be ready, we will place a temporary bridge in your mouth; this one won't look as good or fit as securely as the final product, but it will help preserve your appearance.

Once your new bridge is ready, you must return to our St Helena dental office so we can remove the temporary bridge and bond the new one in place. We may need to make some minor adjustments during the fitting process and will do what is necessary to ensure that it fits correctly, is comfortable, and looks natural. The time you invest in doing this will ensure you enjoy your new teeth forever.
