New Patients Are Welcome!
Types of Dental Surgery We Perform at Our Practice
Some common procedures that our oral surgeon provides to patients include the following:
Tooth Extraction: Here, we remove severely damaged, infected, or impacted teeth surgically.
Dental Implants: This involves the placement of a metal post into the jawbone to support an artificial tooth.
Wisdom Teeth Removal: It involves extraction of the third molars that commonly cause pain, infection, or other issues.
TMJ Surgery: It treats temporomandibular joint disorders that cause pain and dysfunction in the jaw joint.
Jaw Surgery: This involves the correction of a misaligned jaw or facial asymmetry.
Biopsies: Our surgeon removes tissue from the patient's mouth or jaw to examine it under a microscope to diagnose potential oral cancer.
Cleft Lip and Palate Repair: This involves the surgical correction of a congenital disability affecting the mouth's upper lip or roof.
Dental surgery procedures can be performed under local anesthesia, sedation, or general anesthesia, depending on the complexity of the procedure and the patient's medical history. After the procedure, patients may experience some discomfort and swelling, which we manage with pain medication and cold compresses.
